Apart from working in the IT industry as a Microsoft Systems Engineer, Askin started DJ’ing In 1994 and has until today played in various clubs, special organization parties and festivals.
It was in
2005 when he started creating his own remixes and tracks. Some of his tracks
produced between 2005 and 2008 were compiled in an “OLD MEMORIES” album, while
others produced between 2008 and 2012 were included in the “ROUTE 34” album.
All tracks produced after 2013 have been released as singles and/or EP’s.
Askin
stands for Tech House, Deep House and Progressive.

GROOVY YOU EP by DJ2TEN
Jay James
aka DJ2TEN is a Dj Producer and electronic geek who was born in Toronto, Jay
started out formally educated on Drums and Brass instruments for many years. He
also was lead vocalist and backup drummer in a band called Dr. Pepper (which no
longer exists).
He started
his musical journey many years ago, when attending his first (DEMF) Detroit
Electronic Music Festival in 1999: while living in Detroit for over 5 years. At
this point he was hooked on DJ’Ing and the electronic sounds of Techno.
Jay
currently produces original tracks working towards his first EP to be released.
He has Deejayed at several clubs and lounges in Toronto, Detroit and as far as
Cozumel, Mexico, Jay treats DJ’ing as a fine art and includes a “no holds
barred” approach to any set he plays.
The
influences of the “Detroit Techno” sound are presently heard in his productions
and remixes. His sets include the latest and rare classic sounds which first
inspired him on this epic voyage; which now is only beginning.
