Cristovão Bastos is a celebrated contemporary arranger, pianist and composer. His first album, Bons Encontros (shared with Marco Pereira), was awarded with the Premio Sharp as the Best Instrumental Album in 1994. As an arranger, Bastos received other Sharp prizes for Paulinho da Viola (1990), Parceria (1995), Disfarça e Chora (1996), and Tantos Caminhos (1997). As a pianist and arranger, he has worked with top acts like Paulinho da Viola, Edu Lobo, Milton Nascimento, Chico Buarque, Nana Caymmi, Clara Nunes, Gal Costa, Simone and Angela Maria.
