Suzi Silva presents “FAD’AZZ”

Fad’AZZ is neither Fado nor Jazz. It’s a meeting of styles, sounds and colours.
A hybrid and mestizo project. Fad’AZZ expresses itself in Portuguese but also in French and tries to bring together Fado and Jazz by crossing the characteristics of each musical genre.
This project presents jazzy arrangements on fado standards and original compositions from this mix of universes, including other music’s such as the sounds of Latin jazz, Bossa nova and other World Music’s.
This project brought together musicians such as Bruno Roy (drums and percussion), Ivan Garzon (jazz guitar), Olivier Babaz (double bass) and Yannick Anctil (piano) and recounted with the special participations of guests Sergiu Popa (accordion), Liberto Medeiros (Portuguese guitar) and Paulo Bottas (composition and piano).
With the support of CALQ (Conseil des Arts et Lettres du Québec), Fad’AZZ took shape
